Tribute to Lady Victoria Ogechukwu Ayogu (Nnemuru-Oha) by Family Of Sunday And Alice Ugwuja

Who could have thought that I would be writing a tribute to you so soon. This goes a long way to tell us that we are mere mortals and have no knowledge of the time death would come.

The news of your death Mummy Ayogu reached us like a thunderbolt on 8th August, 2024. We least expected such news as our hopes were that you get well and continue with life. It breaks our hearts that we are writing this tribute on your demise.

You left this world so quickly and for the saddest part of it, you never bid us goodbye. It’s not the separation that hurts but the post-trauma that follows it.

I could still remember on July 31, 2024 when I came to console you on the death of your nephew Dr. Brown Sunday Ugwu. You were lively and we chatted for some time. On the other deaths that trailed in your family, I came but you were not seen. This last meeting had imprint on my memory.

Words cannot describe the love that existed between your family and ours and how we have kept the embers on until your last breath. I had concluded to come and spend the night with you on the day you left t his world. That was the most confused day I ever had because I could not do any tangible thing order than to think of your health condition.

Mummy Ayogu, you were a good and virtuous woman. Your love for humanity is unparalled in Okpuje land as you were a beacon of hope for many who looked up to you in many areas of their lives especially the indigent. You were an organizer, a mover, a prayer warrior and an angel sent by God.

You have been my God Mother and a role model since my marriage in Okpuje. You have played the role of a mother to my family and havd continued to care for us and our progress gave you joy.

Your legacies can never be forgotten as they are written in gold for all to see and emulate. We will continue to love you even in death because we know that you have just gone ahead of us to secure a place for us in paradise. We love you but God loves you most.

Adieu! A woman with a heart of gold!

Adieu !! Lady Victoria Ayogu, until we meet to part no more.

May your soul rest in perfect peace. Amen.

Ugwuja Alice
(for the family)
