Death is an inevitable destiny of both men and women. It is a ruthless harvester that kills joy and happiness. It is a blind soldier that kills both old and young. Lady Ogechukwu Ayogu has paid her last price. It is appointed into man to die once and next to face judgement but what we are not sure of is the minute or hour or day or week or month or year or nature the inevitable would happen.
Lady Ogechukwu Ayogu, we lack words to use to describe the emptiness, pain, shock and heartache we felt when we heard the news that you had passed on to the great beyond. You fought hard to defeat that heartless disease called death but when it is one’s time to go home, there is nothing anybody can do to stop it. We have to realize that no matter how prepared we are for the loss of a loved one especially such a mother and a friend of all like Lady Ogechukwu Ayogu, you will never be ready for the pain and heartache it brings.
Lady Ogechukwu Ayogu was not only a mother to her biological children but was also a mother and a friend to all. She had enough love to go round. One thing among others, we and others who miss from her is her hospitality. Lady, Life is not about how long, but how well one lived it. You lived the fullness of life leaving your footprints on the sands of time. You devoted most of your time to the works of God and God really blessed you by ensuring that all your children and many others you took care of become successful in their lives.
Adieu our dear family friend as we console ourselves with the words in 1st Thess. 4:13-14, Brothers and Sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and also we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. We shall miss you dearly but we are consoled that your demise is a sleep in the lord.
We will not miss you forever because on resurrection day, we shall meet to part no more.
Adieu! Adieu! Adieu our dear friend Lady Ogechukwu Ayogu for it is the way for all flesh. Rest in peace as you transform from imperfection to perfection. You have finished your race You have fought a good fight You have kept that faith
From the Family of Sir Engr. Vincent and Lady Priscilla Ayogu
