Tribute to our extraordinary Auntie.
The time and space constraints me to adequately and satisfactorily eulogize, LADY VICTORIA’s amazing life of faith and sterling qualities. Retrospection on her life and time, my heart is full of thanks for the unusual and great sacrifices you made for the gospel of Christ in our family and this community at large. Thanks for your courage, humility, love, gentleness, and peaceful Auntie, you were a woman of great strength. Your life of humble submission to our mother who is your GOD daughter according to the Anglican Communion was exemplary.
You cared for her, especially during the death of her husband and the burial of our Father. You made sure that the arrangement was in order, especially on the area of seats and also the accommodation of the visited PRISTS. You took our MOTHER as your own sister and blood. I can recall vividly how you called and advised us to take our mother to the hospital when she was down and we were not on the know of the situation at the time.
From there, you became our eyes at home. Mama Chinedu, you were more than Uncle’s wife to us and the entire family. Thank you so much for flying the banner of peaceful coexistence, love, caring and exhibiting the role of motherhood to us . You were GOD’S vessel of honor, preacher and a gifted woman.
You had a zero tolerance for indiscipline. We will choose you again,if it is a possibility,as our wife, Uncle’s wife, sister and an Auntie. Mama Chinedu as you were generally called, you have fought the good fight of faith, you finished your course and you kept the faith. (2Tim. 4:7). Today, the Lord has honored you LADY VICTORIA OGECHUKWU AYOUGU for honoring His Holy name. Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His Saints. (Psalm 116:15). Blessfully rest in HIM. Amen.
